A trailing backpost run, Sargent sped past his defender to slot home from a tight angle after Ashley Barnes flicked the ball his way off a brilliant header. The 11th minute strike ended a two-game goal drought for the 25 year old, who has been lights out for the Canaries in 2024.

Sargent has planted his feet as one of the best scoring forwards in all of the English Championship in 2024, with 11 total goals since the flip of the calendar year. With 15 across the campaign, he is also in the race for the Golden Boot, but he trails Blackburn’s Sammie Szmodics by eight goals.
